Now, as the first RoHS platform launches in the market to general public, GIGABYTE finds all the efforts and investments very meaningful.

Besides its environmental consciousness, GA-2CEWH also incorporates several advances in technology. Targeted at high performance workstation application, GA-2CEWH utilizes the highest end chipset in the market—nForce Professional 2200 and 2050. With this chipset, user can get almost 2 times more performance than traditional single graphic card when both PCI-Express X16 slots on the board are populated and linked. This is achieved via an innovative design called SLI, Scalable Link Interface, which is a high-performance technology that intelligently combines and scales graphics performance and visual quality by having multiple NVIDIA GPUs in a single system.

Another important factor to achieve requirement in graphic intensive application is the processor. GA-2CEWH is capable of supporting 2 AMD Opteron processors, which is known for its superior capability in compositing and rendering through the blistering floating point performance.

Another high speed bus, PCI-X 64bit, is also built-in on this workstation board. User can enjoy 4X faster transfer rate than regular PCI bus. This is especially critical when tasks required faster response time and larger amount of data.

In addition to above features, GA-2CEWH also incorporates S/PDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface) as well as two gigabit Ethernet connections. Through S/PDIF, audio signal can be transferred in real digital format while all video and audio files can be distributed and shared much faster through the utilization of gigabit Ethernet ports.
